We are delighted to announce that John Fowler Holidays is now completely Zero to Landfill.
Established for over 60 years, thousands of people trust John Fowler Holiday Parks with their family holidays every year. Across their 11 site locations throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, millions of pounds have been invested with new and upgraded lodges, caravans and chalets, new facilities and activities for families to enjoy plus an action-packed entertainment programme.
Becoming Zero to Landfill means that, from now on, NO waste from their holiday parks will go to landfill in this country or anywhere in the world. We will be taking responsibility for all of John Fowler’s waste streams and providing them with our sustainable waste solutions.
All the recyclable goods (plastic, cardboard, tin etc.) will be sorted and transformed into reusable products such as staff uniforms, milk bottles and storage containers to name just a few. The remaining non-recyclable goods will be turned into renewable energy with the left-over ashes (less than 1%) going through another process for it to be biodegradable.
Zero to Landfill saves resources and energy, reduces our region’s carbon footprint, and promotes a sustainable business community.
At DCW, we specialise in the collection, processing, recycling and disposal of commercial waste for companies across the South West region. We understand the importance of recycling and with our Zero to Landfill policy, you can rest assured that your waste will always be disposed of responsibly.
