Polymers Reprocessing In The South West
At DCW, our mission is to recycle as much waste as possible and support South West businesses to adopt a sustainable approach to waste management.
Introduction to DCW Polymers
In July 2019, DCW acquired a South Devon plastics reprocessing business (formerly Polymer Industries Ltd) that had been established in 2013 to recycle post-industrial plastic waste. At a time when the issue of plastics has come under increased scrutiny, this was a prime opportunity for DCW to bring plastics recycling in-house within its own business.
Since the acquisition, DCW has invested in new equipment which will increase the capacity of the plastics reprocessing plant, now based in Exeter. DCW Polymers aims to become the leading plastics recycling specialist in the South West, and welcomes enquiries from any business, organisation or individual who has plastic waste that could be recycled.
What Do We Do?
DCW Polymers’ core business is to convert plastic scrap into high-quality reusable feedstock materials that are sold to UK and European manufacturing companies who can use them in place of virgin polymers to produce new products. All waste plastics received are thoroughly inspected and tested as part of a rigorous quality control process.
Our quality system also documents the materials through the process, giving us traceability from start to finish, which also gives our customers assurance that the product meets their exacting demands and specifications.
We Can Also Offer
- Toll granulation services to injection moulders and extruders
- Secure destruction of confidential/branded products
- Reverse engineering of assembled plastic components (dis-assembly/cutting)
- Toll-compounding
- Sourcing materials for injection moulders (prime material, reprocessed compounds, regrinds)
- Wheelie bin recycling service for local authorities and waste management companies
DCW Polymers can offer a range of containers for your waste plastics, from bags to bins and large skips, and we can also arrange collection of larger quantities of waste plastics using rigid and artic curtainside vehicles.
What Materials Can We Process?
We operate a range of different size shredders and granulators, and have machines dedicated to certain material types, which helps to reduce clean-down time and eliminates cross-contamination.

Giving Something Back To The Community.
With the intense focus on plastics and protecting the environment, DCW Polymers is investing in an education room at its Exeter premises. This will soon be available for small school and community groups to visit, to learn more about plastics, their uses and applications, and also to consider the importance of the recycling processes and protecting our environment from pollution. By providing our children with more information about the world they live in, they will grow up being more informed about what happens to the waste we generate, and they will play a vital role in defining the solutions to these issues in years to come.
Creating A Sustainable Future
It doesn’t stop there! We will be immersing ourselves in community projects, offering practical advice, presenting information, sharing tips and ideas on how you can most proficiently reduce and dispose of your business or household waste, and we will be actively facilitating ways that we can assist you in participating – reduce, reuse, recycle, repeat.
By working together, we can actively lower the amounts of recyclable material ending up in landfill and contribute towards a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
