Recycle & Raise with DCW Polymers

While you’re enjoying the Celebrations, let’s all be recycling Heroes and Recycle & Raise with DCW this Christmas. It’s the season of giving and we need your help to give to Dartmoor Zoo.

We all love a tub of chocolates this time of year – the UK confectionery industry is worth £119.8 million in the next two weeks alone. Please help us to recycle as much of the plastic waste generated over the festive season as possible and raise money for a local charity at the same time. Just save us your plastic confectionery tubs and drop them off at your local depot.

When all of the tubs have been collected by the end of January, we’ll take them to our DCW Polymers depot in South Brent and shred them into granules. These granules will be sold back to the UK plastic manufacturing industry to make new plastic products. The profits raised from selling the granules will be donated to Dartmoor Zoo who will use the funds to continue their conservation work and support the animals.

The amount of money we can donate to the zoo depends entirely on how many tubs we can collect, as the plastic is sold by the tonne – so please get collecting and drop them off to us by 31st January 2020.

Why don’t you collect them at your business, school or organisation? Become a collection partner and collect on our behalf and we will pick them up from you in bulk.

Bring them to one of our depots or one of our collection partners, including Unit 7 Gym Exeter and Dartmoor Zoo itself. Please scroll down for a full list of collection points.
