Watermouth Cove Cottages is a popular self-catering holiday provider, based on the beautiful North Devon coast. Their eight historic and pretty cottages date back to the 17th century and were once the coaching houses and stables of Watermouth Castle. Owner Clare Flint Mountain has been using DCW’s weekly waste collection service for five years. She chose DCW above other waste management providers, because of our eco-friendly Zero to Landfill service, which aligned with her own green and sustainable business goals and values.
Clare said: “I am very lucky to run my business in a stunning part of the country and I feel very strongly about doing my bit to be sustainable to protect this special environment, and managing waste is a big part of that. If I can also educate my guests to be more responsible with their rubbish, then it will hopefully encourage them to dispose of waste more carefully at home as well”.
Guests staying at the Watermouth Cove Cottages are encouraged to dispose of their waste responsibly with the provision of recycling bins in each of their eight cottages. This ensures that all materials that can be recycled and repurposed (such as glass, cardboard and plastic) makes its way to DCW and absolutely nothing goes to landfill.
Clare continued: “I want to practice what I preach and that’s why I use DCW. Their Zero to Landfill means that I can do my bit to save resources and reduce my carbon footprint. My business receives a very efficient service, and I would personally recommend them to anyone.”
