Local Waste Firm DCW Backs Sustainable Dart Music Festival for Ninth Year

Devon Contract Waste (DCW), has been confirmed as a sponsor of the 2026 Dart Music Festival, marking its ninth consecutive year supporting the popular Dartmouth event and its commitment to sustainability. The festival takes place from 15th to 17th May.

Having supported the event since 2017, DCW is delighted to continue working alongside the festival team to help reduce its environmental impact and operate in a more sustainable way.

The Dart Music Festival, is a much-loved local event and attracts thousands of visitors each year, with a diverse programme of live music across multiple venues in Dartmouth. As the event continues to grow, sustainability has become an increasing priority for the organisers, with DCW playing a key role in helping to deliver this.

Working closely with the organisers, DCW has helped introduce measures to reduce waste, improve recycling rates and support more sustainable event operations. All festival waste will be collected and sorted in Devon, ensuring that as much material as possible is recycled.

“We’re incredibly grateful to DCW for their continued support of the Dart Music Festival.” said Simon Geen, Chair of the Dart Music Festival. “Their expertise and strong environmental waste management credentials play an important role in helping us manage the impact of such a large event in a responsible way.

“We are fortunate to live in a stunning corner of Devon and one of our core aims is that by midday on the Monday , it looks as though it never happened — leaving no trace behind. Thanks to the fantastic team at DCW and their commitment to sustainable waste management, we’re able to make that ambition a reality while welcoming thousands of visitors to enjoy the music.”

“We’re delighted to be supporting the Dart Music Festival for the ninth year running,” said Grant Scott, General Manager at DCW. “It’s a fantastic event that brings people together and celebrates local music. We’re proud to be part of the festival’s efforts to operate more sustainably and ensure the event continues to thrive for years to come.”

Managing business waste in Devon responsibly since 1989, DCW has successfully increased recycling rates, reduced the amount of waste sent to landfills, and helped businesses improve their sustainability. Now, as part of SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK, DCW combines its local expertise with SUEZ’s extensive regional network and sector-leading experts to deliver the best possible service to its customers.
