DCW named finalists in the National Recycling Awards

The DCW team recently received some exciting news…we’re finalists in the National Recycling Awards!

As a Devon-based business, we’ve always prided ourselves on working alongside other local organisations to keep our county clean and sustainable. We’re shortlisted in the Partnership Excellence – Commercial category, which recognises innovative collaborations that go beyond standard contracts to deliver real environmental impact. Through our work with both Princess Yachts and Exeter Chiefs, DCW has focused on driving waste reduction, improving recycling rates, and finding creative ways to turn what was once “waste” into valuable new resources.

A shared mission for sustainability

With Princess Yachts, the DCW team has worked closely to rethink waste processes; diverting materials from landfill, supporting reuse and recycling, and even finding opportunities to donate materials like carbon fibre stock to education and training providers.

Meanwhile, our collaboration with Exeter Chiefs has helped make Sandy Park cleaner and greener. By introducing new recycling stations, food waste collections, and fan education initiatives, we’ve reduced general waste by 26% and increased recycling by around 5% in just one season.

Why this recognition matters

Being named a finalist in the National Recycling Awards reflects the dedication, innovation, and collaboration of everyone involved — from our DCW account managers and operations teams to the sustainability-minded teams at Princess Yachts and Exeter Chiefs.

The awards ceremony will take place on 25 November 2025, where members of our team will be in attendance.

DCW is incredibly proud to be standing alongside so many inspiring organisations leading the way in sustainability, and whatever the result, we see our achievements as a win for our team, our clients and for a sustainable Devon.
