At Devon Contract Waste we are a passionate bunch that are dedicated to providing the very best sustainable commercial waste recycling and waste management service in Devon and Somerset, including Exeter, Plymouth, Torbay, North Devon, South Devon, West Somerset and beyond. We are very proud to be the first and only regional Zero to Landfill solution meaning that all materials that may be recycled, are.
Our Zero to Landfill solution ensures up to 68% of trade waste materials are sorted, baled and sold for onward processing to create new materials and products in a wide variety of industries. The remaining materials that cannot be recycled – 30-35% – are sent to energy from waste plants so nothing is landfilled.
Our Zero to Landfill service covers commercial trade waste collection only. Some other waste is either not suitable for processing or is hazardous, in which case it may be disposed of using alternative methods. Whilst landfill plays a role for some waste types, we believe resources that could otherwise be recovered being buried in the ground to rot over hundreds of years is simply not acceptable.
Our new plant has the capacity to divert over 150,000 tonnes of waste a year in Devon and Somerset from landfill, so now is the time for your business to stop land filling what could otherwise be recycled.
